Google X is the internal division inside Google that is run by co-founder Sergey Brin developing cutting edge projects like Google Glass. It turns out there could even be a phone with the same name. Obviously, for the last year or so we have been hearing rumors about a device called the Motorola X-Phone and now a mysterious device by the name of Google X has been uncovered running Android 5.0.1
The Motorola X-Phone is expected to be a flagship device that would feature some unique features in terms of photography, display technology and battery life, but no real details have ever been uncovered with concrete evidence. Some reports have even stated that X-Phone is a branding for a family of phones.
To Motorola and Google’s credit, the specifics of the X- Phone haven’t been revealed yet, especially about the chipset and other crucial details. The benchmarks only reveal a clock speed of 1.5GHz, but no SoC branding was uncovered.
It goes without saying that these benchmark results can be faked very easily, so it will be prudent to take it with a grain of salt. Anyway, with Google I/O starting on May 15, the story of the mysterious Motorola X-Phone or Google X could be revealed in just over a fortnight.
