After so much wait , Microsoft has launched a major product in its history i.e Windows 8. This window is basically designed and launched in competition to many touch screen tablets and phone running on Google Android Operating System. Windows 8 was launched at an grand event on Thursday by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. This windows 8 is targeted for the whole range of notebooks, phones, tablets, phablet, laptops,desktop etc. Microsoft had also shown its first tablet running on Windows 8 on this launch event. This window will be on sale from Friday 26 October 2012.

Old Login screen is changed to lock screen which will swiped up to unlock your device screen.
Swiping from each edge of the screen performs different functions like – swiping from right edge will give you buttons like Start Button etc, swiping from left edge will enable you to scroll through different open tabs and screens for multitasking, swiping from the top will close the particular window and swiping from down edge will also give you some important buttons.
Screen background for resting of application tiles is customizable.
Size and location of tiles on the screen is also customizable.

Microsoft Windows 8 Upgrade Offer :
Microsoft is also providing different upgrade options for the users having original Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 i.e. they can upgrade their windows to Windows 8 Pro by paying $39.99 outside India and Rs 1999/- in India.
Microsoft Windows 8 Surface tablet is available outside India at $499 and In India it is coming later this year.
