Nexus 7 the hottest selling tablet, which made its way into India in the first week of November for Rs 19,999 is getting the docking station this month.
The Asus Japan website claims that the company will be launching a docking station for the Nexus 7, which will be priced at 3,480 Yen (approx. Rs 2,300). The image show the Nexus 7 being docked in landscape mode, with an audio port and micro USB port on the back of the unit.
The docking station comes equipped with connectivity options such as a micro USB and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The docking station measures 65 x 65.1 x 219 mm in dimension and weighs in at 280 grams.
Speaking of the specifications, Google Nexus 7 sports a 7 inch 10 point multi-touch IPS display with 1280 x 800 resolution, quad core 1.2GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS (upgradeable to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean), 1GB RAM, 16GB/32GB internal storage, 1.2MP front camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, 4,325 mAh battery and NFC connectivity.
With the Android 4.2 update, Nexus 7 tablet will receive improved stability and performance, security features, expandable, actionable notifications and easy personalization of the home screen.
Initially, Nexus 7 was launched with 8GB and 16GB internal storage options in the international market, however, while unveiling Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 devices through the blog post, Google added one more option to the Asus made Nexus 7 tablet – 32GB and consequently, discontinued the 8GB version.
As of now, there is no information on the specific release date of the accessory, but, the listing states that the docking station will be available in mid-December.
