Riding high on the immense success of it’s Canvas and Pixel series of smartphones, Indian smartphone maker Micromax has launched the new Micromax A116 Canvas HD at a press event held in Delhi priced at Rs. 14,999 , the device would go on sale on 1st week of Feb and will be available via all the major retailers across India, as well as all the major online stores.

Though, the RAM of the device is still unknown, but we’ll try to get an idea about it when we go hand’s on with the device in just a short while from now.Micromax is surely a force to reckon with as far as the budget smartphone/tablet market in India is concerned. Of late, the company has managed to introduce quite a few neat devices at attractive price points, offering a great value for money to it’s customers. Company’s last flagship device, the Micromax A110 Canvas 2 was quite a hit amongst the masses, generating big sales for the company.With the new A116 HD , Micromax would be hoping to repeat the success story of the Canvas 2. if you’re already impressed with specs that the new A116HD to offer, wait first week of February to get your hands on the device!

Well here's a bit of my review, Being a quad core MT6589, it is the best power saver along with providing the power of 4 cores and with 28nm based architecture, that 2100mAH is surely to last 2 days on low to medium usage!! And u can rest assured as this processor is very THERMAL efficient too, your phone won't heat up no matter what HD game u play!
OK, Now the screen is awesome 5'' IPS with a good resolution, so anything u see on it is a pleasure to your eyes! And IPS helps angular veiwing and in sunlight too with good brightness!
Coming with the Jelly Bean, to date it is the latest OS and it seems will be upgradable to 4.2 JB too! And as we know, it is the awesomest and most stable fully featured OS version of Android!
* You get 2 benefits here 1 as the MicroMax has already said that the camera is much better than Canvas 2 and 2 all in JB, the camera app is really great and dramatically helps getting better snaps! So the cam quality, guys, u can have fun with it!
Other features quite great u won't need to think of any connectivity option, as it all is available lest LTE and NFC! :P(No 1 needs them in India r8 now :P)
But Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 3g, HSPA, everything available!
Performance- With the quad core coupled with 1 Gigs of RAM and PowerVR SGX 544 GPU be sure, u won't complain any HD game not working and any FULL HD video too! Everything is seamless and no lags whatsoever u throw on it! Multitasking is great too, being given dedicated multitasking capacitive button!
Benchmarks are over 10k that are quite good results and will easily give you around 50FPS!.
Over all, the phone is excellent but it seems a bit overcharged 15k is too much! And if u think, I am acting smart, then you should look at the Chinese Market, you will get the Canvas HD specs phone in not more than 10k!! But it being the first Quad Core available here, the price is high but once competitors are available, the price will fall down maybe! But that is worry for later on! Till then u can wait for Republic Day for Pre-booking and maybe there will be some offer too for Pre-booking!
