Micromax Canvas 4 A210 prebooking starts for Rs 5,000, to launch on July 8

As promised, Micromax has started taking prebookings for the Canvas 4 A210 today. Surprisingly the handset vendor has not revealed any specifications of the phone or its pricing. It is letting users prebook their unit by making a payment of Rs 5,000.

Micromax will reveal all the details including specifications and pricing on July 8, when it is expected to host the launch event for the phone. The company says, users will then have the option to either pay the remaining amount and buy the phone or cancel the order to get the refund of their advance payment. This has to be the strangest prebooking offer we have ever seen.

Micromax has also revealed new photos of the Canvas 4, which confirms it won’t have a physical home button and will sport a 13-megapixel camera. Other expected features include a full HD 1080p display, a quad-core processor and Android Jelly Bean OS. Micromax has also been teasing some new gesture- based UI that won’t require the user to touch the display to unlock the phone.
